Two-Day Jamaica Destination Wedding

Molly and Kyle’s wedding weekend in Montego Bay, Jamaica was one of the most genuine, fun-filled destinations weddings I’ve had the privilege of documenting. The couple met at Tin Roof, a live music bar in their hometown and got engaged two years later at a winery. I got to capture their engagement photos back in the neighborhood where their love story began and, most recently, their destination wedding photos at Excellence Oyster Bay resort in Jamaica!

When it came down to planning their destination wedding in Jamaica, Molly and Kyle envisioned an intimate, stress-free wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends.

One of the things I love most about destination weddings is that oftentimes, the celebration lasts more than a single day. Many couples choose to hold a multi-day wedding celebration because it allows them to make the most of the experience. Why have one wedding day when you can have two? Well, that’s exactly what Molly and Kyle did and boy, was this weekend one for the books!

A Multi-Day Montego Bay Jamaica Wedding at Excellence Oyster Bay Resort

Day 1:

The night before their wedding, Molly, Kyle, and I wandered around the resort for some couple portraits. I’m not joking when I say that the beaches in Jamaica were some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen! The blue waters were crystal clear and so inviting (Molly and Kyle may or may not have taken a quick dip at the end of our session)! Afterward, Molly and Kyle joined their guests for welcome drinks, officially kicking off their wedding weekend celebration!

Day 2:

The next morning the couple got ready in separate areas of the resort before for their first look. They spent the next few moments taking portraits with their wedding party before bringing all the guests together for a sweet ceremony on the beach.

As the sun began to drop in the sky, the couple joined their guests for cocktail hour on the resort rooftop overlooking the ocean. Live raggae music played in the background, setting the ambiance and, as Molly and Kyle shared their first dance, the sky lit up with the most AMAZING sunset!

They ended the evening with a lovely dinner paired with toasts that had everyone bursting with laughter. After hitting the dance floor, the entire wedding party jumped into the pool for a celebratory splash to close out the evening!

The word fun doesn’t even begin to describe this Montego Bay, Jamaica wedding! The entire weekend felt like one big (yet relaxed) party making for an unforgettable destination wedding weekend.
