Wylie + Boris
Meet Wylie and Boris, the Couple of this Bozeman Wedding
Wylie and Boris are two of the sweetest people. After capturing their Bozeman wedding weekend, I have to say that their wedding couldn’t have reflected their gentle love for each other more.
Though they are from opposite sides of the world, Wylie and Boris attended college in Texas and met shortly after while working for the same company. Thanks to COVID, they got to spend a lot of time together during their first year dating, enough so that they decided to pack their bags and move across the country to Bozeman, Montana. While living in Montana, they fell in love with the West and decided to host a destination wedding for all their family and friends.
They planned a full wedding weekend filled with fun for everyone! A few of the weekend activities included hiking through Yellowstone National Park, floating on the Madison River, celebrating their marriage, and sending off their guests with treats from their favorite bakery, The Wild Crumb. As you can imagine, it was a lovely destination weekend for everyone.
Firelight Farm: a Magical Bozeman Wedding Venue
Located in southwest Montana, Firelight Farm is one of the most picturesque Bozeman wedding venues. The venue boasts a historic two-story barn where couples can gather with loved ones for their ceremony or reception. I love that Wylie and Boris chose to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony. We got lucky with the most PERFECT weather on their wedding day. As the evening was coming to a close, the most amazing sunset with dreamy light poured into the tent as friends and family gave toasts to the couple. It was magical!
On top of their beautiful barn, Firelight Farm also has stunning mountain views all around. To the south you can see the Spanish Peaks and the Bridger Mountains to the east. These breathtaking mountain views were one of the main reasons Wylie and Boris chose this venue.
Wylie and Boris’ Weekend Wedding at Firelight Farm
Not only did Wylie and Boris’ Bozeman wedding take place in a gorgeous setting, but the weekend was filled with intentional and meaningful details. The couple had gotten legally married in France before their wedding in Montana and filled the whole day with hints of Boris’ French roots. From “oui do” custom napkins to traditional French desserts to parts of their ceremony being spoken in French, you could tell each moment had been thoughtfully planned out.
And that was just the French details. After moving to Montana in 2020 and falling in love with their new home, it was impossible to not include some Western wedding details. When guests arrived, they signed a Yellowstone-themed guest book. Later, they were seated at reception tables named after rivers while drinking signature drinks named after local birds. Wylie and Boris also hired a local Bozeman beer truck to serve beer on tap throughout the evening and served wine from their family’s winery, David Paige, based in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Even their guests joined in and chose to don bolo ties and cowboy boots, embracing the aesthetic to the max.
Needless to say, I am in love with everything about this Bozeman wedding at Firelight Farm.
